Two Onondaga County men were arrested this month for stealing parts from cell phone towers.
According to the Times of Wayne County, State Police arrested 35-year-old Vincent DePaul of Syracuse and 33-year-old Brandon Rudy of Kirkville after a cell phone company employee caught them stripping a tower on Mud Lane in Sodus.
State Police recovered the pair’s van full of cables and copper wire.
Both men were charged with criminal trespass, burglary, criminal mischief, and grand larceny.
Police say similar crimes have occurred at cell phone towers in Onondaga and Seneca Counties.
