A State Supreme Court Justice has granted a delay in the Seneca Meadows Landfill lawsuit against the town of Seneca Falls.
The next court appearance in the case was scheduled for tomorrow. The Finger Lakes Times reports the next court date will now be February 14th.
The Seneca Falls Town Board introduced and then approved a local law to close the landfill during two meetings in 2016. Seneca Meadows claims the law’s adoption violated some provisions of the State Environmental Quality Review process and should be annulled.
The local law calls for the landfill to close by December 31st, 2025.
