Rep. Tenney: An Honor to Have Yates County Sheriff Spike As State of the Union Guest

SHARE NOW

One of the honored guests in attendance at Tuesday night’s State of the Union speech was Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike. He was the guest of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. She spoke to us from Washington on Wednesday and told us how it came all about.

Congresswoman Tenney said Sheriff Spike was part of a well-respected group of guests on Tuesday.

Sheriff Spike announced earlier this year he would not seek re-election in the fall and would retire after 52 years in law enforcement. He was first elected Yates County Sheriff in 1992.
