During a special meeting of the Yates County Legislature on Monday, lawmakers passed a resolution that authorizes Chairwoman Leslie Church to sign a construction inspection agreement for a Bridge NY Federal Aid Eligible project.
The approved resolution allows for participation in, and the implementation and funding of, a federal aid bridge replacement project on Pre-Emption Road over Kashong Creek in Benton. The resolution authorized an agreement with consulting firm Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., in the amount of $135,000 for the design and engineering services associated with this project. The agreement is contingent upon the approval of the agreement by the Yates County Attorney.
Construction Inspection Services are required to ensure that the bridge is replaced according to plans and specifications and to ensure federal aid funding is not jeopardized.
