Yates County Legislature to Hold Special Session Wednesday

The Yates County Legislature is set to meet in a special session Wednesday morning in Penn Yan.

The purpose of the session is to review the updated and proposed budget for a new 53,000 square-foot building that will house the Highway, Office of Emergency Management, Public Health departments, as well as a Fuel Island. It would be located off Route 14A in Benton Center, where the highway department is currently located.

Wednesday’s 10 a.m. session will also review the proposed values for Contingency and Allowance Authorizations procedures.
