SHARE NOW

Strong thunderstorms made their way through the Finger Lakes late Wednesday afternoon and brought with them heavy downpours and gusty winds.  A wind gust of 59 mph was recorded in Penn Yan.  Some areas reported hail as well.

Yates County road crews and fire companies were busy with flooded roads and basements.  Portions of a number of roads were completely shutdown or partially shutdown for periods of time.
