A local farmer was featured Monday on “Farm to Fork” a nationally syndicated ag radio program. Klaas Martens farms on nearly 2,000 acres of land near Penn Yan. Martens shared with the program his process of managing weeds on a farm that produces 25 to 30 different crops every year.
A third-generation farmer, Martens says one way for growers to change the weed environment is to toss a new crop in the rotation yearly
