The Village of Dresden and the Town of Torrey are launching a Hometown Heroes Banner Program as a living tribute to honor the past and present members of the Armed Forces from their community. If you have a loved one or know of someone that you would like to honor, please stop by the Village Clerk’s Office at 3 Firehouse Ave. or the Town of Torrey office at 56 Geneva Street, Dresden for an application, guidelines, and fees or you can email them at [email protected].
Application requirements are active, retired, or honorable discharged members of the US Armed Forces and a current or previous resident of the Village of Dresden or Town of Torrey or a member of the Christiansen/Vermilyea American Legion or an immediate family member (spouse, parent, sibling, child, or child-in-law) of a current resident of Dresden or Town of Torrey.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 1st to allow the installation of banners in time for Memorial Day. Applications for banners after the deadline will be installed during the summer and fall. Any questions, please contact Kathy at the Village of Dresden Clerk’s office at 315-536-2477.
