After twenty years of service to its residents, Yates County Clerk Lois Hall has announced she will not be seeking a third term later this year. Hall will instead be retiring in December.
Her career with the county started in 2003 in the Department of Motor Vehicles before moving over to the Clerk’s Office. Hall says customer service has always been her number one priority, and that includes her careers prior to coming to the county with Jolley Chevrolet starting in 1974 and Community Bank in 1995.
During her time as County Clerk, Hall started E-Filing with the Courts and E-Recording land records. She also played a key role in making sure more security was added to the County Office Building in Penn Yan.
“It has been a pleasure to serve the people of Yates County over these years,” said Clark. “I have certainly enjoyed meeting so many people and assisting them in the DMV office and the Clerk’s office. I have also made many friends in my time here which means so much to me.”
Most importantly, Hall said, “I would like to thank my staff as well for all of their hard work and support.”
Hall says she looks forward to changing her priorities, spending time with grandchildren, and having more free time.
