Watkins Glen and Ithaca are among seven New York destinations recognized as some of the nation’s top must-see spots in a new travel book.
“Go See America: 118 of the USA’s Greatest Hits (According to a Guy Who Visited Them All)”, written by filmmaker and travel writer Matt Tory, highlights Watkins Glen State Park and Ithaca alongside other New York standouts, including Niagara Falls, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Hudson River Valley, and the Adirondacks.
Tory, who has visited all 50 states and every national park in the lower 48, said New York stood out as “the most beautiful state on the East Coast.” His book blends humor, personal stories, and photography to showcase the country’s most unforgettable places.
Watkins Glen was chosen for its dramatic gorges and waterfalls, while Ithaca earned recognition for its natural beauty and outdoor adventures.
The book is available now on Amazon.
