The candidates are set for next month’s village elections in Watkins Glen. In the race to fill the vacant expiring four-year term of mayor, acting mayor Louis Perazzini will take on trustee Laura DeNardo. Perazzini, who was chosen as Deputy Mayor, has been serving as acting Mayor since Luke Leszyk’s resignation back in July. Perazzini will run on the Republican Party Line, while DeNardo will be on the ballot on the Democratic Party and Public-Be-Heard Party Lines.
For the village board, Peter Cherock, Margaret Schimizzi, and Jerri-Lynn Chronis are vying for two, four-year terms that are up for election.
Voting will take place on March 21st from noon until 9 in the Community Center.
