The Yates County Clerk’s Office, in partnership with the Yates County Veterans Service Agency, is bringing a revamped Veterans Discount Program back to the community.
Veterans who have filed their DD-214 forms with the Yates County Clerk’s office will be eligible to receive a free Veterans Discount ID card identifying them as honorably discharged. The card can be presented to participating businesses for discounts on their purchases or services.
The county is inviting local businesses to join the program by helping to honor and thank local veterans for their service and sacrifices. Enroll your business today in the Yates County Clerk’s Veterans Discount Program by completing a Merchant Application form online at https://www.yatescounty.org/160/County-Clerk or by mailing a completed form to the Yates County Clerk’s Office at 417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Application forms are available online on the County Clerk’s webpage under the veteran’s tab or by contacting the County Clerk’s Office by phone at (315) 536-5120 or email: [email protected]. There is no cost to enroll.
A window decal identifying partner businesses as participants of the program will be given to each participating merchant. A list of these businesses will be posted on the Yates County Clerk’s webpage and will list each merchant’s name, address, hours, website and discount offer. This list will also be given to each veteran at the time the ID card is printed in our office.
