SHARE NOW

Starting next week, Yates County residents will not have to travel out of the county to an Urgent Care facility.

On Monday, Urgent Care-Penn Yan, located on the second floor of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, will provide walk-in care for unexpected illnesses and minor injuries including sprains, strains, allergies, colds, flu-like symptoms, ear infections, and more.

“At the request of the community and consistent with our commitment to increasing access to care, we are thrilled to be able to offer urgent care to residents of Penn Yan and the surrounding area,” explains André Forcier – MHA, RT, Assistant Vice President – Physician Network. “This allows patients a more convenient way to receive the quality of care they expect from UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health when they need it.”

Urgent Care is staffed with qualified and experienced physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff ready to provide on-the-spot care. The facility also offers Rapid COVID, Flu, and Strep testing with same-day results.

The facility is currently open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with plans to extend hours. Appointments aren’t required and patients can schedule ahead by calling 315-531-2020 or booking online at flhealth.org.

Urgent Care-Penn Yan joins Geneva and Seneca Falls Urgent Care facilities operated by UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health.
