State Police in Painted Post are continuing to investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Steuben County on New Year’s Day.
Police say the crash occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day, when a 2024 Freightliner plow truck went off the south shoulder of Grinnold Road in Troupsburg and rolled onto its passenger side. The vehicle’s operator was extricated from the truck and transported by emergency medical services to St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Authorities have now identified the victim as 44-year-old Jason Reisman of Troupsburg, who died from his injuries while en route to the hospital.
The Steuben County Coroner responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
