Two new members have joined the Board of Directors of the Saunders Finger Lakes Museum in Branchport.
According to a release from the Saunder Finger Lakes Museum, Eileen Feinman and Don Budmen bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge.
“Eileen’s experience as Superintendent of Schools for Wayland-Cohocton Central School District and Don’s expertise with over 30 years of experience as Senior Counsel will be invaluable assets in education and operational growth of the museum as the SFLM continues to celebrate the Finger Lakes’ unique history and environment.”
The Museum also recently learned it will be receiving $2 million from the recently passed House Appropriations Bill. Originally proposed by Senator Charles Schumer in 2023, the Agriculture-FDA bill designating the $2 million became law last month.
“The Saunders Finger Lakes Museum is dedicated to inspiring appreciation and celebrating the cultures and ecology of the vast Finger Lakes Region, said Natalia Kivimaki, the Museum’s Director of Operations. “The support of the state and federal government, coupled with the dedication of the staff, board members, and volunteers who work to bring the museum to life, is an indicator of the continued success and improvements of the museum.”
