SHARE NOW

Two women from Naples were injured in a two-car accident in Yates County Wednesday.

The accident happened at around 4 o’clock on State Route 245 in the town of Middlesex when 71-year-old Sharon Hogan was allegedly following too closely and rear-ended the car in front of her that was slowing down and was driven by 50-year-old Carrie Armstrong.

Hogan was ticketed for following too closely and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She was taken to Thompson Hosptial for chest pain and Armstrong was taken to the same Canandaigua hospital for neck pain.

The Middlesex and Rushville fire departments assisted the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at the scene as did Middlesex Ambulance and Gorham Ambulance.
