An Ithaca man faces up to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of manslaughter in Tompkins County Court.
William Marshall admitted to intentionally causing the death of Alan Godfrey in July of 2021 on Taughannock Boulevard in Ithaca. The 41-year-old Marshall is currently serving a 33-month prison sentence after being convicted in federal court last year for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
The Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office says Marshall will be sentenced in mid-April.
