SHARE NOW

Three people were rescued from the waters of Seneca Lake late Friday night after their canoe overturned just off Randall Crossing Road in Himrod.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office and Himrod Fire Department were able to locate 26-year-old Dylan Kelly, 25-year-old Connor Ferrante and 25-year-old Rian Glatz in the lake shortly before midnight about a mile-and-a-half off shore. The three were brought back to the Back-Achers campground where they are staying, and were checked over by EMTs before being released.

Assisting the Yates County Sheriff’s Office Friday night were the Himrod Fire Department, the Branchport-Keuka Park Fire Department, Penn Yan Ambulance and Yates County Ambulance.
