Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) and Syracuse University have unveiled a new transfer agreement that creates a direct pathway for TC3 graduates to pursue online bachelor’s degrees through Syracuse’s College of Professional Studies. The agreement, formally signed by TC3 President Amy Kremenek and CPS Dean Michael Frasciello, also provides a discounted tuition rate for participating students.

“Helping students succeed is our top priority at TC3, and for many, success is being accepted into a top world-class institution to complete their undergraduate degree,” said President Kremenek. “This agreement provides a guaranteed path for our students to transfer into Syracuse University and complete their bachelor’s degree. I am proud of the work of everyone at TC3 and Syracuse for making this partnership possible.”

Under the agreement, students who complete a TC3 associate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in one of seven programs are guaranteed acceptance into one of two bachelor’s programs at Syracuse. They will also receive a discounted tuition rate for the duration of their enrollment.

“Our goal is to remove barriers and create opportunities for students who want to continue their education at a world-class university,” said Dean Frasciello. “This partnership ensures that TC3 graduates have a clear, affordable, and supportive path to earning their bachelor’s degree at Syracuse. We’re excited to welcome these students and help them achieve their academic and career aspirations.”

The agreement covers the following TC3 associate degree programs and their transfer pathways:

  • Accounting, A.S. → Business Management, B.P.S.
  • Business Administration, A.S. → Business Management, B.P.S.
  • International Business, A.S. → Business Management, B.P.S.
  • Engineering Science, A.S. → Project Management, B.P.S.
  • Sport Management, A.S. → Project Management, B.P.S.

This partnership aims to expand opportunities for TC3 graduates while providing a seamless, affordable route to earning a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
