Police in Ithaca are looking for a man who attacked a person with a machete.
The incident happened at around four Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of West State Street. The suspect had fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Security camera footage of the attack shows the suspect as being a Hispanic male wearing blue jeans, a brown coat and glasses. Police say while the suspect is currently at-large, they believe Thursday’s attack was not random and there is no threat to the public.
