Steuben County Urges Residents to Report Flood Damage

SHARE NOW

Steuben County Emergency Management is aware that some residents are encountering issues when reaching the 211 Helpline in the wake of the flash flooding event on Friday. Timothy Marshall, Steuben County’s Director of Public Safety, said these issues are being addressed. Marshall said in the meantime, residents can call (800) 346-2211.

In addition, residents are also encouraged to report damages caused by flash flooding by using the NYS Recovery Damage Self Report Tool. This is an online survey to gather both residential and business damages due to the storm and flooding.

Residents can use the link below to access the survey. Survey users will be able to include pictures of any damages. Using this tool will allow emergency response personnel to gather information on damages quickly and efficiently and help guide what necessary next steps may be to aid the community.

Steuben County Emergency Management is grateful for the abundance of information the community has and will continue to provide in the efforts to address the damage caused by this event. This information will be used to provide residents with volunteer help with clean up and document damages to the State for additional future disaster funding.

Access the Damage Self Report Tool survey here.
