Members of the Sheriff’s Office raised more than $1,000 in support of breast cancer awareness through a special fundraising initiative held in October.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, deputies and staff purchased custom-designed badges and pins to show their support for those affected by the disease. Proceeds from the sales were donated to benefit patients and families impacted by breast cancer.
On December 29, the Sheriff’s Office presented a check for $1,030 to the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
Officials thanked everyone who participated in the effort, saying the initiative was a meaningful way to support the community and those facing breast cancer.
