If you’re a resident of Steuben County your input is being sought by the county on its first-ever comprehensive plan.
The county will be holding public sessions early next month in order to gather feedback from residents as well as allow opinions to be left through its website. Events are planned for June 6th at the Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning and Community Arts Center in Hornell. Similar public sessions will take place two days later at the library in Wayland at the Steuben County Annex in Bath.
The Plan will serve as a roadmap for growth and development in Steuben County; establishing a unified vision for how the County will look and feel 15 years into the future. A comprehensive plan is a strategic, countywide look at infrastructure, housing, economic development, County operations, and other elements of community development. It will be used to shape future budgets, and planning efforts, and to acquire state and federal funding to support priority projects.
