A man from Steuben County has been indicted on over 140 criminal charges, including 134 counts of rape.
According to the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office, Allen Jerome raped a child under the age of 13 repeatedly from 2021 to 2025. A State Police investigator reportedly obtained a full confession from the 31-year-old Campbell man to the crimes.
In addition to the rape charges, Jerome was indicted on two counts each of predatory sexual assault against a child and tampering with physical evidence, three counts of strangulation and a single count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
