UPDATE: Finger Lakes Daily News received the following update from Cayuga Health System:

“We are pleased to report the damage in this incident was minimal.

Cayuga Orthopedics and CMA Occupational Medicine will return to regular appointment hours in their usual locations on Friday, June 23. Imaging services at 16 Brentwood are anticipated to resume in the coming days and an alternative plan is in place to care for patients needing imaging services.

We are grateful to our community firefighters and law enforcement teams who kept the loss to a minimum.

We are especially grateful to our staff who showed incredible flexibility and patience as we navigated this event and kept patient care at the forefront.”

The Cayuga Medical Associates building in Ithaca is closed after a small fire in a bathroom late Wednesday night.

The Cayuga Health System reports the building’s sprinkler system was activated, and the local fire department responded quickly to resolve the situation. Damage was minimal and no injuries occurred. The building, located at 16 Brentwood Drive, houses Cayuga Orthopedics, Imaging Services, and Occupational Medicine.

The building is currently closed, and Cayuga Health Systems reports its teams and clean-up experts have been on-site Thursday to remedy the situation to bring the building back online as soon as possible.
