A Schuyler County man who admitted to felony charges of drug and stolen property possession has learned his punishment for the crimes.
Edward Howlett was sentenced as a second felony offender to eight-and-a-half years in state prison plus five years of probation on the charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The 40-year-old Beaver Dams man also received three-and-a-half to seven years in prison on the criminal possession of stolen property charge.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant on Howlett’s property where more than two ounces of methamphetamine was seized, along with other meth-making materials, and stolen property valued at more than three thousand dollars.
