Congressman Nick Langworthy has received another committee assignment. Langworthy will be one of nine Republicans to serve on the House Rules Committee.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be chosen by Speaker McCarthy to serve on the crucial and prestigious House Rules committee. In this new era under a Republican Majority, the work of this committee will play an essential role in advancing our Commitment to America agenda. I’m deeply humbled that my colleagues have placed their trust in me as a freshman member to serve on three important committees this Congress and I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get to work,” said Congressman Langworthy.
“I am pleased to welcome Congressman Nick Langworthy to the House Rules Committee,” said Chairman Tom Cole. “Western New York has a history of exceptional service on the committee, including my former colleague Congressman Tom Reynolds and former Rules Chairman Gerald Solomon, and I have no doubt that he will serve Speaker McCarthy and the Republican Conference well. Nick is attuned to the priorities of his constituents and the American people and will be an influential voice on the committee, and I look forward to the work ahead together.”
Congressman Langworthy was appointed to the House Agriculture and Oversight committees. He represents the new 23rd Congressional District of New York which includes Schuyler, Steuben, Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, and parts of Erie County.
