Volunteer fire departments in Schuyler and Steuben counties are invited to take part in a seminar that will be held this week designed to help them apply for FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants.
Congressman Nick Langworthy will hold a seminar on Zoom on Wednesday night at 6:30 to help prepare fire departments within his 23rd Congressional District to correctly apply for and successfully secure grant funding. Last year, Congressman Langworthy said firefighters in his district received almost 3.3 million dollars in FEMA grants that were used to purchase air tanks, turnout gear, and radios.
