Congressman Nick Langworthy, who represents New York’s 23rd Congressional District, which includes portions of Schuyler and Steuben counties, has officially endorsed Elise Stefanik in her bid for Governor of New York against incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul.

Langworthy praised Stefanik as a “warrior to stop the outmigration of our citizens” and highlighted her record of standing up for families, law enforcement, and conservative principles.

“New York deserves a fighter who never backs down — and that’s Elise Stefanik,” Langworthy said in a statement. “She’s tough, fearless, and exactly the kind of leader we need to rescue our state from the corruption, crime, and crushing cost of living created by Kathy Hochul and one-party Democrat rule.”

Langworthy also criticized Governor Hochul, citing high taxes, crime issues, and policies he says have hurt small towns and New York families. He praised Stefanik for her leadership, commitment to Upstate New York, and efforts to address antisemitism and support Israel.

“I’ve seen Elise’s leadership firsthand. She’s smart, decisive, and driven by results, not headlines. As Governor, she will end the Albany madness, restore safety to our communities, unleash energy and manufacturing jobs, and give every New Yorker a reason to believe again in the future of our state,” Langworthy said.

The congressman concluded by giving his “full and enthusiastic endorsement” to Stefanik, emphasizing that her election would help rebuild opportunity and restore pride in New York.
