Rash of Commercial Burglaries in Ithaca Under Investigation

Ithaca Police say five commercial burglaries have occurred within the Tompkins County city just last week.

From July 25th through the 29th, burglaries were reported at the First Presbyterian Church and Buffalo Street Books, both on North Cayuga Street; at Perfect Painters on Madison Street; the Coal Shack Cafe on Maple Avenue and the Botanist Coffee Shop on North Tioga Street.

In all five instances, cash was stolen as well as other items.  In one case a car was stolen and recovered the next day.
