The search will soon begin for a new Penn Yan School superintendent after Howard Dennis announced he will retire in January of next year. With 30 years in the district, including the last nine as its superintendent, we asked Howard if he has any memories that stick out during his time in Penn Yan.
In 1994, Dennis came to Penn Yan as an eighth-grade social studies teacher, a role he held for 10 years. Soon after, his career shifted to staff development.
