SHARE NOW

State Police are still looking for a vehicle that was involved in a fatal accident with a pedestrian last weekend in Steuben County.

The Volvo VNL tractor was headed west on I-86 in the village of Bath when it fatally struck 40-year-old John Viviano, of Sidney, NY, and continued on without stopping. Viviano was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred between 9:30 last Friday night and 5 o’clock Saturday morning. Investigators say they are looking for a 2019 or newer white Volvo that would have damage to the front passenger side of the cab. The fog light and assembly, fender mirror, part of the front hood radiator grill, along with other parts belonging to the vehicle were located at the scene.
