There will be a planned water shutdown on Thursday in Watkins Glen.
The village says the contractor for the Water System Improvements Project said the shutdown is needed to make necessary connections on the high-pressure line and is only anticipated to impact the upper-pressure zone, which is north of Monroe Street. The village said there should not be any water disruption to the businesses, Cargill, or the school, which are located in the lower zone.
The connection is expected to be completed by 8 Thursday morning.
