NYSEG will be starting gas main replacement work in the village of Penn Yan on Monday. They will be starting at the Elm Street-Main Street intersection, which will be closed to one-way traffic during the connection. Main Street will be closed from Elm Street to Maiden Lane starting April 3rd and will be opened for the weekend on April 7th.
The village wants residents and visitors to know that businesses will remain open for the duration of the infrastructure projects. Most businesses have rear entrances, but they can still be accessed through the front. Parking will remain available in all Village lots and north and south of the project on Main Street.
Pedestrians must abide by all safety barricades in place for the project.
