Penn Yan Spring Clean Up Starts Monday

SHARE NOW

Crews for the village of Penn Yan will begin collecting leaves, tree branches that are no larger than three inches in diameter, and yard debris starting Monday.  The collection will run through April 25th, starting at Burns Terrace and ending at Red Jacket. One final pass will begin on April 22nd.

Brush can be taken by the homeowner to the Village dumpsite, by appointment only, after the final pass. The village strongly encourages the cleanout of creeks behind properties with spring clean-up.

The debris for collection should be piled between the sidewalk and the edge of the street. Residents are also asked to pile the debris between the sidewalk and the edge of the street but not near utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, or other obstructions.

The village will not collect large tree limbs, appliances, pieces of lumber, construction debris, plastic bags, or any yard debris in plastic bags, furniture, or other household items.

After April 25th, there will be no normal debris pick up until our Fall Cleanup is held.
