For the fourth straight year, the Penn Yan school district’s music department has been recognized by a national organization whose mission is to advance active participation in music.
Not only was Penn Yan school recognized for what the National Association of Music Merchants called its outstanding commitment to music education, but the Marcus Whitman, Bloomfield, Newark, Honeoye, Palmyra-Macedon, Victor, Wayne, and Ithaca school districts also received recognition.
Now in its 25th year, the NAMM designation is awarded to school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
