    Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    There will be several periods of stronger winds, with this afternoon seeing strong southerly winds, then a break this evening, before stronger west wind develop tonight into Saturday.

Penn Yan Man Extricated After Car Hits Trees

A 19-year-old Penn Yan man had to be extricated from his passenger’s seat after the car he was in went off the road and struck two trees in Yates County just after midnight Sunday morning.

Police say the accident happened when 20-year-old Sabastian Stahlman, of Canandaigua, failed to round a curve on County House Road in the town of Jerusalem. Stahlman’s passenger, Scott Shoff, was cut out of the car by Branchport/Keuka Park firefighters.

One of the men was airlifted to Strong Memorial and the other was taken by ambulance to the same facility for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The investigation into the accident remains open.

Yates County EMS, Branchport/Keuka Park Fire, Penn Yan Fire, Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance, Yates County Office of Emergency Management, Life Net, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
