One Dead, One Injured in Tompkins County Crash

A single-vehicle rollover crash in the Town of Ulysses has left one man dead and a woman injured.

According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Krums Corners Road. Deputies say the vehicle was traveling north when the driver lost control, causing it to overturn.

The driver, 25-year-old Melanie Seneriz of Ronkonkoma, NY, was taken to Upstate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A 23-year-old male passenger from Deer Park, NY, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cayuga Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending.

Emergency crews from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Trumansburg Fire Department, Trumansburg Ambulance, Bangs Ambulance, and New York State Police all responded to the scene.
