A new digital X-ray machine and renovated radiology suite at UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health’s Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan is now available to patients. The renovations and new equipment were made possible in part by community donations and event proceeds from the celebration of the hospital’s centennial last year.
“This investment represents our commitment to increasing access to high-quality healthcare at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. This latest x-ray technology will allow for faster and more accurate diagnoses, enabling us to deliver the quality care that the residents of Yates County deserve locally,” emphasized Dr. Jose Acevedo, President and CEO, Finger Lakes Health.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the many people who played a role in this project from start to finish, including our donors who supported the Finger Lakes Health Foundation with the purchase and installation of this new x-ray equipment and room.”
Joan Grela, Chair of the Finger Lakes Health Foundation Board of Directors, thanked the community for its generous support. “On behalf of the Foundation Board, I would like to thank all of our donors who made the purchase of this state-of-the-art x-ray equipment and room a reality. This includes our Centennial Circle donors, Centennial event sponsors, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Yates County TB & Health Association, local foundations, health system and foundation board members, community members, and employees.”
