The Village of Montour Falls has announced the appointment of Mallorie Tong to its Board of Trustees, filling the seat left vacant by the resignation of James Nolan, who recently became Superintendent of the Odessa-Montour School District.
Mayor James Ryan praised the appointment, noting that Tong was selected “after an extensive search,” and describing her as “a highly respected leader within New York State government and an active contributor to the local community.”
Tong currently serves as a Business Officer with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), where she oversees more than 30 staff members across six departments. She will serve the remainder of Nolan’s term on the Village Board.
