Calling it a “major win for the college, its students, and the Finger Lakes,” Keuka College President Amey Storey announced the 2024 appropriations bill recently signed into law by President Joe Biden includes $1.6 million that will be used to establish a new community outpatient clinic on the Keuka Park campus.
The proposed Rural Community Outpatient Clinic would offer a variety of medical and therapy services, addressing a critical need in the county with limited healthcare resources. Storey said the clinic aligns perfectly with the College’s goal of educating future healthcare professionals while serving the needs of the surrounding region.
She also thanked the College’s federal partners, Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with Congresswoman Claudia Tenney for their advocacy in helping obtain this funding.
