We are nearing the finish line of the months-long Main Street rehabilitation project in the village of Penn Yan. Here’s the latest update from the village:
Thursday – Pave Water St. and Charles Hermann Way. Charles Herman shouldn’t be a big deal for anyone but Water St. will be closed this morning from Liberty St. to Main St. We should have this back open by early afternoon, just depends on how long the top coat will take to cool.
Friday – We will do the final top coat for Main St. from the bridge to Clinton St. We will need to have each intersection closed (Elm/Main, Seneca/Main, Chapel/Main and Clinton/Main). Again, this is the top coat so we can’t let people through until the blacktop is cooled so we are going to be redirecting all traffic to North Ave to get around town. We will open each intersection as quickly as we can to open things up as the day goes on. At this time the plan is to be completely done with paving by tomorrow night.
