A gathering of healthy-living experts will highlight a weekend of wellness-focused programs and activities this summer as Keuka College hosts Wellness Weekend at the Lake.
Presented in conjunction with the National Health Association, the July 11-13 event will feature a diverse range of educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and interactive panel discussions designed to instruct and inspire attendees seeking to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
This marks the second year Keuka College has hosted Wellness Weekend. Last year’s inaugural event drew more than 180 participants from across the country to take part in the wide-ranging offerings.
“The aim is to equip you with new strategies to inspire you to enhance your life,” said 2024 attendee Kristen Farrington of Victor. “It’s not just the eating, it’s everything.”
This year’s offerings will cover all the wellness bases. Speakers include surgeon and best-selling author Dr. Kristi Funk, director of the popular True North Health Center Dr. Alan Goldhamer, and, returning after her packed-house cooking demonstrations at last year’s Wellness Weekend, TV host and author Chef AJ. Dance and movement classes, cooking demonstrations, yoga sessions, guided trail walks, and speaker presentations will keep participants moving between whole food, plant-based meals – all prepared on-site.
Additional featured speakers include luminaries in the field of whole food, plant-based lifestyles, Gene Baur and Dr. Kerry Graff, and Nate Salpeter, founder of the world’s first nonprofit animal sanctuary, Himrod-based Sweet Farm.
Attendees will also have the option of staying on campus for the entire weekend in historic Ball Hall.
Registration for Wellness Weekend at the Lake is open until June 30, but reduced-rate early-bird registration is available for a limited time. For information, a complete listing of speakers, FAQs, and to register, visit wellness.keuka.edu
