An Ithaca man accused of assaulting two men with a machete before holding them in a dog crate against their will has been found guilty in Tompkins County Court.
In addition to kidnapping and assault charges, Arthur Harriet was convicted of threatening his victims with a shotgun and robbing them. The incident happened last September. The Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office says Harriet faces 8 to 25 years in state prison when he is sentenced on August 1st.
The 49-year-old was sent to jail to await sentencing.
