Ithaca Duo Pleads Not Guilty to Assault on Chemung Investigator

The two Ithaca residents arrested in connection with last month’s shoplifting incident at the Target store in Big Flats that led to Chemung County Sheriff’s Investigator Michael Theetge being critically injured pleaded not guilty in Chemung County Court.

Dominick Haley entered a not-guilty plea to charges of felony assault and felony assault on a police officer. The driver of the getaway car, Fatiuna Massaline, pleaded not guilty to the same charges, along with a felony charge of recklessly causing serious injury with a weapon. Bail for the duo has been set at half a million dollars each.

Investigator Theetge was released from Robert Packer Hospital last Thursday and is now rehabilitating in Rochester.
