The two Ithaca residents involved in the March 29th shoplifting incident at a Target store in Big Flats that eventually led to a Chemung County Sheriff’s Investigator suffering a fractured skull were indicted on Monday.

A Chemung County Grand Jury charged 24-year-old Dominick Haley on a single felony count of assaulting a police officer and two felony counts of assault. He was also indicted on misdemeanor petit larceny charges. The driver of the getaway car that Haley and Investigator Mike Thettge were thrown off, 24-year-old Fatinuna Massaline, was indicted on two felony counts, assaulting a police officer and assault with a weapon.

Both remain jailed in Chemung County.

Investigator Thettge was released from the ICU at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre and is now at a Rochester rehabilitation center.
