Ithaca College Student Struck By Car Identified

State Police have released the name of the Ithaca College student who was seriously injured after being struck by a car last weekend.

At around 1:30 last Saturday morning, Max Ross was walking near the 1500 block of Slaterville Road when he was struck by a car that was traveling eastbound. The driver of the car, 30-year-old Blake Curtis, of Ithaca, remained on the scene after calling 9-1-1.

Curtis is a Cornell University Police Officer and was off-duty when the accident occurred. He has since been placed on administrative leave.

The 19-year-old Ross, who is from Lafayette, Louisiana, and is listed in stable condition at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
