A member of the New York State Bar has announced she is running for New York State Supreme Court Justice.

Deirdre Hay is seeking a seat for the Sixth Judicial District, which covers Schuyler, Tompkins, and eight other counties. Hay has been practicing law for 33 years and has been an attorney in New York for 25. She’s an adjunct Professor at Cornell’s Law School teaching business law and has written law books.

The State Supreme Court decides on civil cases, from election law to construction and zoning cases, to contested divorces, personal injury cases, and medical malpractice.
