SHARE NOW

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Dundee family injured when their vehicle was struck by an alleged drunk driver as they were heading to fireworks on the night of the Fourth of July.

The accident happened at around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Second Milo and Bath Road just outside of the village of Penn Yan and occurred when Mark Cronin allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and rammed the passenger van being driven by 23-year-old Zachary Bailey. Bailey, his wife, and six children between the ages of 9 months and 16 years were in the van that came to rest on its side. All of the van’s occupants were taken to the hospital while two of the children were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and have since been released.

According to the GoFundMe page, the victims will need surgeries and other medical treatments as they continue to record.

Cronin was charged with DWI and vehicular assault.
