It’s all part of the 5th Annual “Steuben County History Awareness Week.” The Museum will have 11 exhibits on display from across the region in addition to guest lecturers from Craig Braak and Kirk House. The theme for this week’s History Awareness Week is “Agents of Change.” Tuesday-Friday: Students from local area schools will visit from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Homeschool families invited are visiting from 2 until 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday: History Week is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday: Craig Braak will give a lecture on “The Mindset and Motivation behind the Erie Canal” at 6 p.m. Friday: Kirk House will give a lecture on “The New Deal” at 6 p.m. Organizers say the event will benefit the greater Steuben County community and connect them to local history. An opportunity for local officials to connect with the Steuben County community and its history.
